We have recreated the splendor of yesteryear. . . a kinder and more genteel age. Our Lodge is the perfect place for your family vacation, your family reunion, your wedding or special event, or your business conference or meeting. It's also the perfect romantic getaway and the place to come just to renew your spirit.   Our main lodge was constructed in 1927 by a wealthy sportsman as a private residence.  The majority of our cabins were built in the 1970's when the Lodge became a commercial venture.  Since then, thousands of people have visited us and return year after year.  Nearby, you'll find Johnson's Shutins, Elephant Rocks, Antique Malls and Taum Sauk Mountain, as well as many other Missouri attractions that are sure to provide you with fun and educational side trips.  For those of you who are hikers or backpackers, we have 1200 acres of trails. In addition, the Bell Mountain Wilderness Area and the Ozark Trail are nearby.
